How to File a Complaint About Bell

A guide for Bell customers who need to escalate beyond customer service.

Bell Canada (BCE Inc.) is Canada's largest telecommunications company, offering television, internet, wireless, and home phone services under the Bell, Virgin Plus, and Lucky Mobile brands. If Bell's customer service has not resolved your issue, here's how to escalate.

Most Bell complaints go to the CCTS. Content complaints about Bell Media channels (CTV, TSN, CP24, Crave, etc.) go to the CRTC or CBSC.

Before You File

    Contact Bell first. Call 1-866-301-1942 for TV and internet, or use the Bell online chat. Both the CCTS and CRTC expect you to attempt direct resolution first.

    Escalate within Bell if needed. Ask to speak with a supervisor or request your complaint be escalated to the Office of the President. Bell has an internal escalation process.

    Document everything. Date, time, representative name, reference number, and what they told you.

    Keep your bills. Save copies showing any disputed charges.

Filing with the CCTS

  1. Go to the CCTS complaint form
  2. Select Bell as your service provider
  3. Describe the issue and what steps you've taken to resolve it
  4. Include your Bell account number and any reference numbers from previous calls
  5. Bell has 30 days to respond through the CCTS process

Filing with the CRTC

For content and regulatory issues related to Bell Media's broadcasting operations:

  1. Go to the CRTC complaint form
  2. Select "Broadcasting" as the complaint type
  3. Identify the specific Bell Media channel (CTV, TSN, CP24, etc.)
  4. Include dates and times of the content in question
